Our Story

In September of 2022, Pastor Kevin embarked on an God lead new chapter, to the BCM of Georgia Southern Armstrong campus in Savannah, Georgia, with the vision of planting a community involved new church. Having served as the Missions and Worship Pastor at Kingsland First Baptist Church, the sending church that wholeheartedly supported this mission, Pastor Kevin's heart was full of as he began laying the groundwork for a community of faith in this new location. 

Since those initial steps in September 2022, Pastor Kevin and Cross Community Church have wholeheartedly embraced God's unfolding journey to connect with the Savannah community. Their focus has been on fostering life-giving relationships and cultivating a welcoming space where individuals can experience genuine and transformative encounters with Christ. 

Building on their initial efforts, October 2024 marked a significant milestone for the church as they officially chartered. Since then, their journey has been marked by tangible growth and engagement, celebrating their first baptism and welcoming new members into their fellowship. Their commitment to the community has manifested in a variety of impactful initiatives, including Vacation Bible School, Family Movie Nights, enriching Community Bible Study Groups, joyful Fall Festivals, and a host of other activities designed to connect with and serve those around them.
With open arms, they extend an invitation to all, encouraging everyone to participate in witnessing and becoming a part of God's unfolding glory within their midst.
